"I am delighted to be using
the curriculum that you have developed over the past 10 years. In the
beginning I was uncertain since it was not widely used or tested. My wife
made the final decision based on the leading of the Lord, and I was in
agreement. As I began to review the material after it arrived, I
found I couldn't put it down because it was so compelling. I think parents
will actually learn more than their children if they simply review the
books.
The best aspect of the
material is that it is after the values from the Bible. It presents
current knowledge in light of eternal values. For example, the Apologia
biology text does not simply refute Darwin's hypothesis. It explains how
scientific hypotheses, theories and evidence are established and compares
this with how Darwin and his successors went about establishing
evolutionary thought. It shows how Darwin changed his view of God based on
his reading of ungodly points of view and then found a limited amount of
evidence to 'prove' it. It helps the student realize that any thought that
exalts itself above the knowledge of God leads to destruction. The book
then takes a very measured approach to disproving evolution from today's
scientific evidence.
History uses primary sources
and allows the student to draw his or her own conclusions, just as we do
about our observations of the world around us. it makes history real. I
