Literal Translation

Joshua 1:7-8

v.7  "Only, strengthen and encourage mightly

to guard to work according to all the torah

Mosheh my servant misvahed you

turn not aside from it - right or left,

so that wherever you go, you comprehend."

v.8  "Remove not the scroll of this torah

from your mouth;

but meditate therein by day and by night;

guarding to work according to all inscribed therein:

and then you prosper and then you comprehend."

(Editors Note:  Is there a difference between having "good success" and to "comprehend" God's Word?

Job 1:5

v.5  "And so be it, as the days of banqueting revolve,

Iyob sends and hallows them;

and starts early in the morning

and holocausts holocausts

according to their number;

for Iyob says, Perhaps my sons have sinned,

yet blessed Elohim in their hearts,

- thus worked Iyob continually."

(Editors note:  The Hebrew language uses the same word for blessing and cursing.  It is therefore difficult to determine which is meant in the passage.  The context can help in many cases.  So, was it more likely that Jobs' children sinned and cursed God or sinned and yet blessed God in their hearts?)

Job 1:8

v.8  "And Yah Veh says to Satan,

Have you set your heart on my servant Iyob,

that there is none like him in the earth?

- an integrious and straight man,

one who awes Elohim

and turns aside from evil?"

(Editors note:  Is God in a sense "bragging" about Job and his righteousness to Satan, or is God showing us that He knows even Satan's intentions to destroy Job before Satan asks permission to harm Job?)

Prov.3:5-6

v.5   "Confide in Yah Veh with all your heart

and lean not to your own discernment:

in all your ways know him

and he straightens your paths:

(Editors note:  Is there a difference between "acknowledging" God and "knowing" God?

John 21:15-17

v.15  "So they dine,

and Yah Shua words to Shimon Petros,

Shimon son of Yonah,

love you me much more than these?

He words to him, Yes, Adonay;

you know I befriend you.

He words to him, Feed my lambs.

v.16  "He words to him again the second time,

Shimon, son of Yonah love you me?

He words to him, Yes, Adonay;

you know I befriend you.

He words to him, Shepherd my sheep.

v.17  "He words to him the third time,

Shimon, son of Yonah, befriend you me?

Petros sorrows

because he said to him the third time,

Befriend you me?

And he says to him, Adonay, you know all:

you know I befriend you.

Yah Shua words to him, Feed my sheep."

(Editors note:  In this passage we see the difference between agapao (to love) and phileo (to befriend).  Why don't most other bible translations show the difference between these two important words, especially in this passage?)

I Tim.6:10

"For befriending silver is the root of all evil:

which, while some reach for,

strayed from the trust

and pierced themselves through with many griefs."

(Editors note:  Is there a difference between loving money and being the friend of money?)

Luke 16:14

"And the Pharisees who befriend silver

also hear all these:

and they sneer at him."

(Editors note:  Is it possible that we could be like the Pharisees who didn't love money, but were the friends of money?)
